tom beat me 9-0 in about 20 mins, never seen any1 play that well ever, brilliant in fact, he plays the game very well , white ball on a string, good break, never does anything stupid, i scratched most of my breaks and when i didnt i was in a impossible position, he missed 1 ball in the who matchin frame 4 a 8ball and snooker'd me, fair play his proformance in the semi diserved the challenge cup victory.
Well done again tomas
good weekend all in all. glad to be home tho

We just got home after a long but very enjoyable weekend. We both need a rest now before work tomorrow and then we'll start work on posting rankings updates, reports and press releases so please bear with us and check out pro9 & gb9balltour.com later this week for the full reports. Now before I get that much needed cuppa and put my feet up after the long drive I want to say a few very BIG thankyous. We all know there is a lot of hard work goes into bringing you these events and having spoken to many of the players this weekend I also know how much they all appreciate this. So, on behalf of all those players I want to acknowledge the help and support of the following people: Of course I want to thank Shirley Ang for all the hard work and professionalism she shows in the tournament directors chair. I took over Saturday for about 1.5 hours to give her a much needed break and I can tell you it's a really stressful and tiring job and I have no idea how she manages it almost non-stop from Friday afternoon through to Sunday night. Well done again Shir on an immaculately run event. As Dave mentioned in his report we had a guest photographer join us this weekend to take some beautiful professional photos. You can see the small versions if you look at the link in the front page report but I can tell you I've seen the full size versions on Gavin's laptop and they really are stunning. Gav gave up his weekend and paid his own hotel and travel expenses to do this for free, including all the publicity shots of the final, so wouldn't it be great if every single tour player acknowledged this sacrifice by buying a picture online? I know I will be. (BigD - I'm looking for that one of me breaking but it's not online yet. Let us know if you have more to post so we can all get on there and buy our favorites.) Rileys staff, again were just brilliant with us this weekend. They were always there first thing in the morning making us cups of tea and cleaning the tables for us before play and they did a great job of keeping us fed and watered all weekend. I know they really enjoyed having the event there and so did many of the locals, which is great to see. Many thanks again to Andy & Dave from the Pro Shop, and also to Dave for providing scoring updates on Pro9 during the event. Cuesport TV were there all day Saturday and Sunday to bring us professional coverage of all the big matches. Again, this is hard work for them and all the equipment and expense comes from their own pockets for very small rewards. Having them there adds so much to our tour so I hope you all check out the matches and remember to give them your thanks and feedback. Klaus Zobrekis from Z9 Billiard Cloth for providing the cloth on the 2 match tables ensuring we have perfect conditions for the final matches and for the TV coverage. Massive personal thanks from me to Mike Rogers for staying over Sunday night especially to help us pack things away in the store room and then come in Monday morning to get us packed up and on our way. This in itself was 2-3 hours of hard work and we couldn't have done it without him. Now you know what it takes to take GB9 on the road mate! Thanks pal for all your help this morning. Last but not least to all the players for making this tour such a success so far. Everyone behaved brilliantly, which was noticed by Rileys Management who again have said how much they'd love to have us back in their club. Now for that cup of tea

another quality tournament. massive thanks to riggers and of course Shir who did so much work despite her sore leg. you guys are great. i was reasonably happy with my performance. no disgrace losing to burford 9-3 in last 16 of pro - i had 6 dry breaks so could have been better. also happy to beat Thomas Ainsworth-Smith in the main event and thoroughly enjoyed a "safety" lesson by Darren Appleton. strarting to know more and more of the players on tour and they are all top guys (and girls)...... roll on Harrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just had a look at the main tour rankings.
I seem to have the same number of points as people who have been to 2 main events and I missed the Croydon one.
I, along with many others, picked up 2 points from the first GB9 event despite losing their first and only game.
Could someone just clarify this please. The 2 points were for places 65 to 128 and I thought there would only be a field of 128? Also, what places were the 1 and 0 points allocated for?
