hi locomotive,
Main comp is full but I have a reserve list and if I can get 40 runners I will open it up.
What is your full name and I'll add you to the list on page 1 ?

Andy,
The more i look at the format for this event, the more i like it as a complete amateur, excellent value for money tournament.
I'm pretty confident you can make it up to 40 entries and maybe even beyond.
Are you boys from ipswich not interested in this one? Os, Phil, Courtney etc?
The offer of a sofa for the night is still available Os if you fancy this tournament, thats if you can cope with mrs skybluejim and her pregnant hormones!

Craig Osborne has just confirmed so there are only 4 places remaining if this is to become a 40 runner tourney. I really can't open it up any more than that due to the group stage format of the event.

Looks like a great event - I will be in and no doubt so will Phil. Unsure about Courtney at this stage but its a strong possibility.
Another tournament that has "Mixed" it up a bit. Good Work Andy - I have never known a year with so many different tournes poppin up all over the place. Its great - long may it continue.

This event is now a 40 runner event with a prize pool of over £900. As such I have amended the format as follows: Round 1 - 10 groups of 4 (1 pro seeded into each group) - Top 2 through. Currently there are 12 pro's and so groups 1 & 2 will have 2 pro's per group, all other players will be drawn at random into the groups Round 2 - 5 groups of 4 - Top 2 through. Round 3 - 2 groups of 5 - Top 2 through to semi-final. ----------------- Andy Warden, GB9 - Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor √ [ This message was edited by: cueman on 2007-08-07 17:46 ]

looks like i know my group, 1 or 2...lol so how is round 2 drawn out, 5 winners and 5 runners up.? Andy you might do better to try 48 runners, leave the door open for another week, this is just a suggestion, 48 runners, 12 groups of 4, top 2 through. 6 groups of 4, top 2 qualify and best 4 3rd places gives you 16 qualify, do what you like then, single elimination or 4 groups of 4, just some thoughts anyway look forward to seeing you there [ This message was edited by: Bangkokpoolman on 2007-08-07 18:31 ]

anyway look forward to seeing you there Only problem with this is the number of groups (and tables) for the early rounds. With 40 runners I will be using 20 tables (the club only has 22!) in 10 groups of 4. In effect I shall seed 10 of the pro's into the 10 groups first, then randomly draw the 2 remaining pro's into 2 of the groups, then draw everybody else. 2nd round will be drawn seeding equal numbers of group winners and runner-ups up into each of the new groups etc. etc. Should be a fun day ----------------- Andy Warden, GB9 - Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor √
