this is just unbelievable!!!!! i have been glued to the tv all day!!!! I honestly now believe boyzi and daryl got a massive chance of winning it....

Daryl looks like hes in the form of his life!!!! breaking as good as anyone and looks in the zone. Id say his match with busta could go to the wire....

and BOYZI???? what can u say??? fantastic performance against stepanov

funny few months ago boyzi told me he had enough of ''The pool world'' and now hes got his head right, been training hard and hes back on song!!!!

fair play to ya boyzi!!!! The effort you have put in recently u deserve everything u get......

keep it up both of you!!!!

all the best for the quarters!!!

I'll be going down the club to watch it on the big screen, anyone else?

Categorically, this is the last time I don't go to a WPC... Gutted I'm not there... Why don't we all make a pact and go together next year?

This is Shotgun posting on Dazzlers laptop again.

its 1.40am here and daz has just gone to bed. So thought i would just pop on and reflect the mood in the camp.....

Boyzi -
What can i say about this lad, he has put these guys away in great fashion and that game against Stepanov was the perfect medicine before taking on Busta 2moz. he has kept everything simple, playing the tables exactly as he should be - whichever one he has been on.
Spoke to him earlier - after the stepanov victory he now believes he is a true contender-which is correct. boyzi said "this games all about bottle, we can al run the balls - especially the tv table layouts that keep appearing - but its just whether you bottle it or not?" Boyzi wont be bottling it 2moz. It will be the same focussed, bubbly personality that you lot see month in month out in tournes in the UK.
Good luck to him 2moz - will be great TV and we will be giving him the support ringside.

Dazzler -
different class, now plays the favourite for the 2nd time in the tournament and its in hisback yard.... have we been here before??

Daz is quietly confident but as always is thinking one ball at a time, never getting ahead of himself - and just like Boyzi, he is just playing the same solid gamethathe would in he UK. hitting the balls good and making minimal mistakes - if any!!!

Packed houses for both affairs - both lookingto be definate thrilers in manilla!

look out for one phillipino with a coat on slmped in the audience -his name is "ninyo" - we have been bantering with them through the whole tournament and the crowd have loved it - 2morrow is going to be electric so i hope you guys get to feel the atmosphere that end too....

2 brits in the quarters - absoloutley fantastic for them, UK and European pool, the BPPPA, the GB9BT and all the euro tour winners.

Mark Gray and Imran Majid also have played their part in these results - bringing belief on the eurotour that the british contingent is only going to get stronger and stronger in the world of 9 ball.

COME ON BOYS - BRING HOME THE BACON!!!
and the trophy..........

And the new world Champion for 2007 is A man from the UK, Mr...... TBC!?

Over and out for now... time for bed, only got 6 hours before we are up for brekki, night everyone.

Ossie - Ringside in manilla for the best UK performance in the worlds.....

The latest stories from the Peach and Boyes victories are now on the official World Pool Championship website.

Both stories include quotes with Daryl's story talking about how Britain is fast becoming a major power in world pool.

Enjoy!

Ossie again.......... cant sleep!!!

i am still up! its now 7am and I have not slept all night, still not used to the sleep patterns and also the fact that i didnt try to sleep until 4am here so the cockerels outside kept me awake so just gave in! - plus im a little excited at a couple pool matches im gonna see in less than a few hours..... worth staying up for me thinks....

dazzler took sleeping tablets so he went out for the count.... just to put a few minds at ease! lol

been online all nite - had a punt.

£5 on Boyzi, Peach, Gomez and Foldes all to win. over £100 return if they come in..... why not? def worth a lady gadiver!

deep breaths people - the Suns up here and its hotting up already, The Coliseum is waiting, the players are waking, the fillipinos are probably already queueing outside, the balls are being cleaned, tables brushed, lights turned on, the music up and Jim Macdonald running through last rehearsals for his infamous introductions to the boys from blackpool....

lets do this, its time for a new chapter in manilla to be written, more history to be made, get your flags out, get the kettle on all over the UK pool scene its gonna be an early start and shout at the TV just like they did for Ali and Frazier! ;)

Ossie...... thinking of switching to a sports journalist very soon??? lol
