Wish We were playing next week to be honest.

With the small number of teams entered and the quality on display the draw was always going to be huge. I think it would have been exciting to have done it on the morning of the event with all players present. It would just have added to the drama and, seeing as Andy is a pretty good judge when it comes to adding hype and drama to events I'm, surprised he didn't go down this route.

Am looking forward to our match this afternoon and am sure it will be a great event. Good luck everyone.

I'm not sure whether people were moaning or just offering their views as I wasn't there to hear exactly what was said but as an organisor myself I do know you've got to be prepared to hear feedback from players even if it's not always welcome. It can get you down sometimes but at the end of the day if players are parting with a lot of money they have a right to have their say.

There are some exceptions but most of the players I know that 'have a moan' do so because they are passionate about the game and they usually have something valuable to say. These same people are usually quick to praise organisors too for the good job they do. So it might be a bit harsh to say it's always the same players moaning because maybe they 'moan' because they care.

It's easy to shut up and say nothing or even to just not support events so in some ways you should praise the people for being prepared to give input if it's done constructively.

We, the players should have insisted that the draw be done on the morning of the event so I feel like I've got myself to blame for not saying something beforehand. There were enough players there when I walked in at 10am to watch the draw, that's better than no players being there the previous day to witness it. Lesson learnt in future, I'll never enter a one off event where the draw isn't done in front of the players, that's for sure.

Andy - as an organiser you've given the players an opportunity to question the draw so hopefully you'll also take all this on board for future events and learn like I will.

I think this was a brilliant idea and seems a great event well done Andy think you have hit the nail on the head with this one and expect it will be an event all players will wana be involved with in future, think there should more rules around team selection but other than that i think an excellent addition to the 9ball calendar.

I don't think I've said anything out of order pal, you got the wrong end of the stick. All I'm saying is that the draw should have been done in front of the players, it wouldn't have taken long.

I apologise if you've taken this the wrong way pal and I don't want to fall out so let's forget about this and move forward and learn from this.
