Come on Boyzi, what a performance by someone relatively new to American pool. Think Dazzler should win today too, hopefully!! 2 Brits in the quarters would be amazing!

Riggers even booked a 1/2 a day holiday to come home and watch it... Turned his phone off and think it's a first: not gone on pro9 today...

This is huge guys, if darryl rolls on throught to the last 8 that is a quarter of the field. from our tiny isle, we shall rise up and sweep the world titles. With Imran,Raj,Hill,Gray,Fulcher,Holtz, and take your pick from the rest of the UK things are looking very rosy

I tell you,Karl and Daryl have a chance.I was just looking at past winners and there is a certain pattern developing.Don't know if statistics say much but the past champions since 1995 are Ortmann,Souquet,Archer,Takahashi,Reyes,Chao,Immonen,Strickland,Hohmann,Pagulayan,Wu and Alcano. There are 3 European or American players and 3 Asian players winning back to back those years.I think it is Europe's turn this year!I am hoping for Stolka but I think Daryl is at his best beating Alcano.

I nearly cried when I found out. No idea what I would be like if Karl wins the Tourney.
You will never meet a nicer player in your life. Karl is a great guy with total class and respect as well as being a great player. All these attributes make Karl a well respected individual.
Not only should we be pleased for him, we should also be pleased for Lynette....who has been a total rock for Karl. She has supported him 100% of the way, through the tough times as well. You have stood by each other and thats a rare thing in this day and age. Total respect for your committment to each other.
Big well done to the both of you and I sincerely hope this is a turning point in your lives.
Si

Well said Si. So pleased for both of them. It was really hard to avoid the temptation to look on the website this morning but I managed it and watched it at home on Sky. Like you said Karl is such a class act I can't think of anyone who deserves it more. Am going to have one heck of a smile on my face for the whole weekend now UK Pool has never been in better shape than it is right now and perhaps it's fitting that these victories come with hours of GB9BT finalising the details we need to be able to open up for applications. Now we need Dazzler to add the icing to the cake

Hi all, I accidently put the following in the "soft break" thread so thought it would be a good idea to repeat it here. If any of you are getting really choppy streaming; Go to this web page: http://myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=1678∂=sportsWith sopcast open but not playing a channel, click on the play link next to sopcast under True visions. et viola!!
