Was an excellent event!! thanks to kev.. Now i have had professional coaching off the colonal i have all of the 11 spices he has to offer me!! Performances of the day are riggers beating imran told me he played well.. good job mate and Jonathan Mathers also beating Imran.. good show!! Loss of the day has to go to Imran losing £4000 on Ronnie in the snooker!! That is the problem with ronnie you cant bet on him but cant bet againest him!! After the colonal looked at ozzies stroke he played well in the final to beat kev with out the old fella's input ozzie may of struggled!! Was a good tournement thanks kev and well done to ozzie!! Bring on the next GB9!!! ----------------- UK's Youngest

Ha ha, sounds like I missed a classic. I would just like to congratulate Ossie, Kev Simpson (amazing performance to get to the final IMHO) and Riggers on a great win over Imran. [ This message was edited by: TonyDavid on 2008-02-19 10:55 ]

Hey it's nice to have all these congratulations but I don't feel too good about losing in the quarters again. Anyone can beat anyone on the day, even an in-form Imran but it means nothing if you follow it up with a pathetic performance in your next match. This game is all about how many mistakes you make and we all make them, it's just a case of keeping them to an absolute minimum and sharpening yourself up after you've maded a daft one, not doing what I did against Ozzie, which was to throw a few more in for good measure I think performance of the day has to go to Kev on reaching the final of a star studded event.

Yeh, I think Kev is like a lot of the decent players around the UK at the moment.... good potters and ok with the white but throws the odd mistake in and the problem is you really cannot afford to in this game or you get punished. So many of us can play but cutting the silly mistakes and bringing a serious level of consistency to your performances is what will shift you up a level. That's what Kev needs to do, and me and a whole lot of others, including ozzie for that matter but not to the extent of some of us Had I played like I did against imran and ozzie played like he did against me he would have lost. It's all easy to say but I'm determined to get those **** shots out of my game once and for all and join those big boys in some finals in the next few months.

Totally agree Lee, and it's little comfort to realize others have the same problem. It's so frustrating to know the game is there but then you keep on missing the easy one's.
Although i am delighted with my performance overall on Sunday and to a degree i cut down on those silly mistakes i still missed at least three easy chances in the final (What might of been!)
