In case you haven't seen, Angie - Daz's girlfriend - has posted this on Facebook... "Darren wins the GOLD medal at the WORLD GAMES 11-10 after being penalized a game for leaving the table.... I feel so much relief now.... I'm so happy because I know how much he wanted to do this for Pixie and that she was guiding him throughout the week. Thank you to all our family and friends for supporting us on and off the table this week. We would've never got there without you!" She later goes on to say in a comment "Daz says "10-9 up I needed to get restroom, ref did not let me go and I said I needed to go. I run for wee come back then ref give 1 point to opponent so 10-10 and his break and I was fuming... but last game he missed first tough shot I was shaking so much but I ran out"" A million and one congratulations Daz. Now, I wonder if we'll get to see the final rack? Best wishes thecardman ----------------- The Cardman's Blog

Been searching most of the morning now... It's not looking too good unfortunately. Still waiting for some decent stuff to come through... Maybe some highlight clip from their official video channel. There's a really nice one from Kozoom, but their coverage is only about the 3 Cushion Billiard results... If I can't find a decent photo, I can't really format a report. Ridiculous really - all I can do is keeping searching and hope I find something. (I suppose I could make up a montage or something). Amazing that this hasn't been on the mainstream media over here either. [ This message was edited by: Administrator on 2013-07-31 12:54 ]

I can't find a single topical reference to the 2013 World Games in Columbia on the whole BBC website? "2013 cali world games site:bbc.co.uk" Why not? 38 different sports being competed out there, and there's 3 disciplines in our billiards sport category, and GBR have won 11 medals - but not a word! @ Riggers "Goes through more cues than John McEnroe went through rackets!" This is just what I was thinking! Those cues seem to be taking some abuse in recent wins don't they! How many actually break and need to be repaired/replaced? I belted a cue at the wall once and threw another and both broke instantly. As a result I've "retired" from any form of cue abuse!

cues in good shape .. i change my cue every 6 months sometimes every year.. this tournament i played with new shaft .. i like to change and sell my cues to cue collectors.. this ne will be for sale soon :-0 thanks for support it was the biggest win of my career for many reasons.. if i lived in any other country i would get funding a large amount of money or the fed would recieve a large chunk.. if dennis orculo or chang won they would have got 100k each .. they still got good money for medal.. shame uk dont recognize our achievements but this one was all for pixie and she deserved the gold..
