Cheers Matt,Jaymo etc...... Just got back home!!
Massive result for me this tournament, firstly to beat Ralph 8v3 and to go on win the comp made it that bit sweeter!,shame i had to beat a fellow English player in the final but im sure Boyzi will be winning a Euro Tour event in the very near future............
Thanks to Oz and Ricardo (Efren!) for supporting me and encouraging me all the way and congrats to Butch on placing 5th....
Also week was made complete for me when Daz (Appleton) invited me to be the 5th player to team up with himself,Peach,Imran & Boyzi for the World Team Nations Cup in january, appreciate that mate and its good to see all us English players getting on again lol.....
All the best in the mosconi Daz........
Mark.

Great performance from Mick Gray - Sorry i meant Mark. Mick Played on Friday, hacking about and sulking after being 1-0 up, slapping his cue - his coach Effren Jones in the stands was getting pretty upset too - beer going everywhere and a few choice words being shouted, i can only assume it was in a some sort of ancient philipino language - but it wasnt english! - anyway the young prodige Mick woke up on Friday only to realise that he can shoot straight after all! Congrats to Boyzi and Scott for great performances but in the end fell like buffalos! Good venue and nice tourne. Red Wine wasnt bad either? All the best to Daz in the Mosconi, they cant lose really - get yer money lumped on now i say! all the best Shotgun - AKA Judas - AKA Spudgun - AKA Screech - AKA Professional 9 card Brag 2009 Champion - AKA Comentator Extroadinair

I have to add my congratulations to Mark and Daryl and to all the other Brits who put in a good performance during the week. I would appreciate some comments about the venue, was it good, bad, better or worse than the Torrequebrada etc. We almost certainly will not be going back to the Torrequbrada so we have to find a new venue for the next three years. From an organiser´s view the Alay was great, access straight from the road into the playing area and everything on one floor for a change. Anyway any comments either positive or negative would be useful.

The hotel itself was not as good as the Torrequebrada but for a pool tournament that is sort of irrelevant; I thought the main arena setup was fantastic with the balcony where you could view all tables at once. Location wise the hotel was better than last years as it was a stone's throw from the marina. Alay 1 - 0 Torrequebrada

Alay 2-0 Torr qua whatsit. Miles better this year Peter. As Chris said, much better for viewing, and much better for playing as all on same floor. Rooms were slightly cheaper too i think right? Nearer to Marina. No contest for me. Dazzler.....maybe Morroco for hols next year? -----------------
