but if i was millionaire i wouldnt need to go looking for money matches but unfortunatley where in a game that i feel money games are a good revenue for income..
when the ipt started and i was doing well i stopped doing pool exhibitions simply because i didnt need to do them so i stopped advertising for them, but with not knowing what ipt holds for future am thinking of doing them again..
so in the main it boils down to cash unfortunatley...
also it is great that we have 6 players and few others capable of winning any tournament in the world for such a small nation in american style pool we should be very proud of that! Dont get me wrong mate, i understand why players play for cash, and its a skill in its self to play for cash....unlike tournament play, and i totally admire players who do it. I was just saying that that image is not the best for the sport to grow tournament wise i mean. -----------------

have you played weert?
sorry but if it wasn't for the lag break In the worlds I think things would of been a lot different. I don't see peach moaning about the easy break at worlds ,he adapted to suit his break. And all due respect I don't think we have contenders, only participators,in most world events, but we are gradually bringing our snooker to pool, slowly but surely.

World Masters Karl Boyes. 3rd World Championships Tony Drago. 3rd World Championships, World Masters, Predator 10ball Darren Appleton. 5th US open Steve knight. World pool league Imran Majid. Weert Open Lee Chenman. Weert Open I honestly think that winning a Eurotour event is very hard to do, and a big acheivement also... Eurotour winners..... Imran Majid (2) Daryl Peach Tony Drago Darren Appleton Mark Gray Cant think of anything else on an International stage except for Mosconi Cup but thats a team effort so doesnt count. ----------------- [ This message was edited by: dazzler on 2008-06-08 20:07 ]

I think just getting on the Mosconi Cup team is an achievement . Thats not to be sniffed at and every player (certainly from the UK) has rightfully deserved a spot and earned the right to be there. Please no Steve Davis comments.
So with that being said.....
Steve Knight Daryl Peach Andy Richardson Raj Hundal Imran Majid Tommy Donlon and of course our adopted Brit, Tony Drago.
Thank you, I will get back to lurking now.

no i havnt played the weert open powerbreak.......
yeah i actually had over looked the european masters..... as for tony drago though lets us not forget he,s maltese and as to date i dont remember him competing under another flag.....
as for the eurotour im 50/50 whether it should be in the bracket of a WORLD CLASS event so would reserve my judgement on that.............also the others would be a higher achievment, if not for the fact of players and equipment thre fact there is only 1 of the above each year, as opposed to 6/7 eurotours!

Personally I think raj was way out of order. Good players win things. Imran, wins time and time again. If it means soft breaking then so be it. Let’s face it, that’s how many of the world titles have been won. I wish he would stop bleating on about how good he is, and try and prove it. Lets face it, raj is no where near the top phili’s, no where near the top euro guys … Imran keeps beating him in UK, and anyone who know’s pool, know he’s no where near the top boy in his own club, vicotria… I’d put my money on Knight every time. If you’re the best … try winning a tournament instead of whinging all the time… [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2008-06-08 22:34 ]

If Raj ever wants to diversify he's always assured of a position with a PR company, or maybe a spot of diplomacy

JC i agree with you, i fully appreciate that Raj was interviewed immediately after a losing a match that could of so easily gone either way at the end, but he talks as if he is number 1 in the world, he is clearly insecure about his success in the game, even though he has already achieved heights so many of us will only ever dream of.

raj struggles to come terms with tapped tables,, his played lot of pool in america and asia on tougher equipment,so coming back here its been hard for him to get head round how easy it is.. i suffered with same thing last year because 2006 when i first started playing american pool i didnt know any different played euro tour got to final and played next event got 5th and thought equipment and tapped tables no problems was happy with everything,.. then i went to america for couple months then was in philippines 3 months then back to america few times and philippines .. so april last year 2007 went back to the euro tour and did terrible with exception of italy.simply because i thought it was too easy and all i did was complain about break and size of pockets and anybody could win who could play half decent,so my mind set wasnt good last year, i learnt alot in philippines and states but then come back to europe on tapped tables and very rarely get to play safe and pockets been hugh it all frustrated me.. but this year i decided to stop complaining accept what we are playing on and get on with it, which i have done this year, dont get me wrong easy equipment as cost me matches still but have learnt to accept it better. raj as got to do the same my opinion yes am sure all top players would prefer to playb 10ball all time or untapped tables on tighter pockets but in near future i dont see it happening so might aswell get on with it.. dont get me wrong am not defending raj comments regards towards imran thats his battle.. but like u all say u got to do the talking on the table to achieve anything! yes raj as achieved a fair bit ,but the last couple of years he not been winning as much ,but am sure once he knuckles down he will win again,he was certainly playing the best pool last sunday in the open what i had seen anyway..and he always does pretty good in states and asia.. his day will come again llllloollllllll [ This message was edited by: dynamitedaz on 2008-06-09 00:38 ]

Not that im on anyones side or that im defending anyone but what Raj says to him is the honest truth and all this about sour grapes and hot air is not true.
I have heard him many times say he will play anyone in the UK for money. He believes with all his heart that the only person that can even come close is Darren Appleton and he really respects Darrens game. He is more that willing to prove it if anyone thinks differanly all they have to do is call him or if they like post it up here and the games is on.
He is hugly fustrated that on easy breaking big pocket tables the better player can easly lose to a player 2, 3 or even 4 balls behind his speed and i agree with this.
9 ball is more than just potting it should be about kicking, banking, good paterns, knolage and breaking well. The equitment in the UK takes that to a large extent out of the game.
