Judging by the way I played on Sunday my best chance of playing in that division is by applying and being accepted in Season 1 'cos my end of season ranking might not see me there in Season 2
I think I know why your not playing well Riggers. Instead of practicing youve been concentrating too hard on getting your whites whiter than white!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZlbFEvHyI8

Mackie, you didn't miss anything. At the BPPPA event last weekend we provided a flyer with brief details of the proposed new tour. We'll follow this up with full information on our website, which should be built within a couple of weeks. In the meantime here's a copy of the flyer: http://www.rigbys.biz/flyer.pdf

Riggers, Looking at the flyer, it mentions this is limited to 96 players 32 on the pro and 64 on the challenge.....
Are these numbers realistic for the challenge div? i'd have thought there would be more than 64 interested players. Would this work with 96/128 players and be extended if there was the demand?
Obviously i'm not saying that there are 128 players outside the pro div that'll part with £500 quid but there surely has to be more than 64.
Mike.

Andy Nicholson Andy - no it doesn't work like that. All the 800's and 500's are bundled together then we take away the admin costs then work out how best to distribute the rest fairly between the 3 tournaments so everyone is getting good value for money. We'll publish a prize structure on our website soon. Lancaster bomber - There has been much discussion between us about this and yes we do believe the figures to be realistic for season 1. If we are massively over-subscribed we'll obviously be delighted and will then start to look at options for increasing the tour - most likely from season 2. There are a lot of factors to take into account if we have a much bigger tour, like scheduling, format, match times and the length of time we can take over a venue. This will all be considered if we a over-subscribed, and like you I believe we will be but it's hard to say by how much. For season 1 make sure you get your applications in as soon as we start taking them to ensure you secure your place because we cannot guarantee it will be possible to extend the tour beyond 96 from season 1.

not yet but there was a form at the back of the flyer to register your interest or add comments.
at this moment there are things that need finalising so we want to publish exactly want will happen in all areas before asking people to part with their hard earned.
we want no ambiguity with any part of the tour so everyone is happy

So currently no applications are being processed?
I don't want to miss out, but I would of thought that applications would have to wait until the website is up?

You'll need to wait for the website and also like pooljedi says there are things to finalise first. When we start taking apps we'll make an announcement here and on our website and by email. So to be sure you don't miss out make sure you are on our email distribution list by sending an email to the address quoted on the flyer above.

Hi Riggers,
Will there be an ability to play in some events and pay a standard entrance fee for each event without signing up to the whole tour?
I would like to take part in the whole tour but cannot guarantee that I would always be available but I would certainly try to attaend tour stops in the Midlands area.
Thanks in advance

Andy Warden If we run the tour as a series of open events most of the benefits of the proposed tour format would be lost. We are looking for players to committ to the tour not just individual events. For those not wishing to participate in the tour who prefer to play in individual open events we have suggested to the BPPPA they run specialist open events covering all disciplines to fill this gap.
