Right all of you here is the breakdown some of you so long for

Entry Fees should of been £1285
Trophies £85
Tables £80
Travel to and from Southfields £60
T.D. Fees £100
Paid out £900 in prize Money £60 Short.
I paid out all the money I had so maybe 2 players got away with out paying. I will not apolize for any of this and you can write what you want as I HAVE HAD IT WITH SOME OF THE HURTFUL STUFF THATS BEEN WRITTEN ON HERE. I will not be returning to this forum, I will not be running any more Tournaments and I wash my hands of Pool Tournaments in general Thanks Guys. To the ones who have shown me there support thanks. You know my no. you can always give me a call.

Thanks for getting back to us Chris, I don't think anybody meant to upset anybody but as your figures show it was always your intention to deduct £325 from the entry fees in costs (travel, trophy, TD fee, Rileys fee) so why didn't you say this at the start when somebody initially asked the question?

I personlly think that is too much to deduct and I don't think you would have got 43 runners if you had made this known, I certainly wouldn't play in a comp where only 75% of the entry was paid back.

Just my opinion.

Thanks for your reply Chris, my concern beforehand was the lack of clarity on prizemoney and your fees, rileys etc. Whilst you have provided a breakdown I still feel as an organiser there are several questions you haven't answered properly and points that must be addressed.

I think you are overreacting to say the least when you say people have posted 'hurtful' things and that you are ceasing to run pool tournaments etc. I have read back 99% of posts here and can only see 2 that could be perceived as hurtful, tupaki said 'maybe he has ran off with the money' but he has sinced apoogised and it was clear all along he never meant it seriously, it was a light hearted joke. The only other comment is darkpride's claiming £200 went missing in Portsmouth when you ran a league and I agree with you being hurt by this as he has written it without proof or elaboration. ALL other comments are only made due to genuine concerns over the prize money.

I asked you before the tournament on these boards specific questions regarding prize money breakdown and your fee but you clearly avoided answering and many people weren't satisfied by this.

I think you would have known Rileys fee beforehand and also your own fee so I feel 100% you should have stated this beforehand and don't see why you didn't answer my question directly. Do you think now that you should have posted costs and fees beforehand to make it clear for all players?

Also, I still don't think your figures add up. You say the money taken should be £1285 however we know 43 players played so at a minimum 43x£30 should have been taken = £1290 but of course several entrants paid on the day and would have contributed £5 extra to the fund therefore money taken should have been in excess of £1300. If 20 players paid £35 for example then that adds £100 to the monies taken so it could be a significant amount.

I feel it is unfair on all paying players that 2 maybe played for free. As a tournament organiser surely it is your responsibility to collect all entry fees from players, I presume you are chasing up the 2 people that 'maybe' didn't pay?

I also noted that the tournament poster clearly stated '£1000 prize money' subject to entries (40). Why was the fund £900 and not the £1000 stated? If it is a mistake and your costs were higher than expected can you please say so?

I have posted some reasonable questions and must say I don't see any reason for you to be offended and don't agree with your 'thanks guys' bit blaming everyone else for you leaving, nobody is responsible for you leaving these forums and pool tournaments in general other than yourself....all we players ask is that you do something you have in my opinion failed to do so far, answer direct questions as any organiser should, showing transparency and giving reasons for possible errors:-)
