his on the table antics are at times poor, but 150% top viewing, ralf handled it well and so should have daryl.met him only once in oneside pool club in manila for about half and absolutely spot on guy, very funny indeed.not sure scum of the earth label peach put on him was right.not defending his match actions but thats the way he is like it or not. sport needs people like him to liven things up.

Strickland should join the UFC and be made to back up his mouth. There is a line you should not cross, I say good job Daryl.

Brilliant. Tony Drago, weakest player of team Europe (aparantly), yet he absolutely "owned" the singles matches.
Well done Drago, well done Europe.

Happy for Drago - For me he has always under preformed. Certainly at snooker and at the world's pool. But now finally in the last year getting some results his talent deserves. It's never too late!! Well done again.

Well done guys, after day one i thought europe wr in for a kicking, but the team talk did the trick and the under dogs did it.
Something needs to be done about strickland, great player and all, just a major muppet......

yea definatly good refereeing going on there. i dont understand why earl has to be the way he is, yes it does bring some entertainment to the game but its every match, and he clearly plays better when he doesn't let the crowd get to him.

its not the crowd, its all the sharking he does away from the table thats the problem....

Ok, fair enough on the Strickland comments - I've never met him, just going on his performances on tv.

Earl is the kind of person who demands everything of himself, his success over the years has made him begin to expect too much from himself at such a high level of play and when he doesn't play as he feels he should, he is easily distracted and when that happens, the fireworks start, as many of you have seen often enough, last year's MC being the perfect example of that. Earl is a great player, but untill he is able to get a longer fuse, it's going to continue to haunt him everytime he plays in a big tournament, but at the same time I can understand Earl's point of view, he feels that as a competitor, he should be able to have the respect and consideration of the crowd, just the same as any other player should, but respect as a person is something that needs to be earned, not expected. Great post Willie. Thats exactly the point. He needs to earn the respect of the crowd.
Sometimes though he needs to accept that he is not going to always have the run of the balls, i mean, he said to Souquet during their match that he was more lucky than good! Souquet is arguably one of the best players in the game and has played in 11 Mosconi Cups. He must have some kind of skill other than luck to do that.
