(Note that this is not a bracket – this will be published tomorrow on www.worldpoolchampionship.com) I know Dave ...but I have assumed that with it being 1v64, 2v63 etc in the last 64, that the draw will be structured to have 1v32, 2v31 etc in the last 32 and 1v16, 2v15 etc in the last 16. This would mean that the winner of the Gomez-Alcano tie would play the winner of the Orcollo-Reyes tie in the last 32...and so on. So, if the brackets follow the logic above, then the draw looks like this: Gomez-Alcano Orcollo-Reyes Hsia-Kuo Manalo-Chan Wu-Deuel Schmidt-Wang Holtz-Takano Chang-Uzzell Facquet-Lee van den Berg-de Luna Dominguez-Foldes Luong-Nien Bustamante-Engert Williams-Tot Juva-Morta Li-Carvajal Hohmann-Edey Peach-R.Yang Lu-Ryu Liu-Strickland Archer-C.S.Yang Souquet-See Tschudi-Huang Stepanov-Ortmann Kaplan-Alcaide van Corteza-Majid Roschowsky-Apancho Luat-Jones Chao-Gallego Chamat-Fu Davis-Petroni Condo-Pena Mind you, if the organisers decide to "randomise" the placings within the seedings brackets, then ignore the above, lol.

Davis vs Petroni - Does anyone remember when these guys first played each other? - Fabio burst out crying (he said he was so emotional playing his hero Steve Davis - it was well funny to watch.) Lets hope Fabio is crying again at the end of this match!! Good luck to the semi-famous five. Remember the champion is amongst you. Fong Pang is my other tip to do well - what are the latest odds on everyone? Sam Betfair? [ This message was edited by: expertfluke on 2006-11-07 22:45 ]

They were actually playing together in the Mosconi Cup, not playing each other.

Fun to watch Roberto Gomez, which I have never heard of before he signed up for the 8-ball in Norway in January. Suddenly he wins the first WPC qualifier, and become 1st ranked after groups!
however, I think he will have a hard time to win against Orcollo/Reyes. I think Efren will do it this year!

Good luck with the bet lee but like paddy said not only can i not see orcullo beating reyes but with the way phillipines pool politics work i can not imagine he will be ALLOWED to win, correct scores could be interesting on that one............. i might swap orcullo for 5/4 Apancho, Roy over Roschkowsky, Andreas 4/7 but theres a lot of hard to call games, and i'm not sure whats happening with the break is it still alternate? might be safer staying a spectator? If scores not quoted with the bookies try giving stan james a call and they will probably quote if nick o'hanlon still works for them ----------------- [ This message was edited by: PC on 2006-11-08 01:48 ]

just been looking at the scores........... Yang CS vs Zulfikri mmmmmmm fishy strange how every year when yang has qualified he seems to lose his last group game against a weaker player...........this is why bookies are so careful to get involved as in any sport where the money is low in the early stages this will happen Just look at horse racing, compare money at meetings.........Royal Ascot is much straighter than the matinee all weather at wolverhampton etc Its just a shame this happens as it brings our sport down....... Then again even with big money on offer from the IPT players were cutting deals to bank 8 balls!!!!! People who know me will know that i do like a bet but i have left this event alone as unfortunately now like most things in life it seems to no longer come down to skill and judgement and research its a case of who you know and what they can tell you!!!!!!! Well i best get off my box now...... ----------------- [ This message was edited by: PC on 2006-11-08 01:43 ]

Hi All, I like the way they have tried out the different players for co-commentatiing this year and if I had to choose my best so far it would have to go to Pat Holtz he seems a natural at commentating what does every one else think. Mr Mills
