i think its strange that u pay extra to have thebutt of ur cue wrapped etc and can be a pretty expenssive bit of ur stick then strickland goes and covers it all up in a gaffer tape type system  still seems to work - maybe i should do some of that!

he still moaned a fair bit (not as much as usual but still) and he seemed to have a good run and, i think the first bad ref call so far (:prepares to be corrected) went his way!

Hello,
Wow, there are some great matches in prospect aren't there? Standout ties for me are:

Wu vs Deuel
Bustamante vs Engert
Van Corteza vs Majid
Davis vs Petroni
Stepanov vs Ortmann

and..oh yeah..

Orcollo vs Reyes again! Wonder if it'll be closer than their match from 2002.

Chris.

Wow Wu v Deuel should be a great match.

Archer v Yang another match that could be interesting.

Thanks again. I really hoped I'd see more of Corey on TV this year. Last year his only TV match was the one he lost to Mika so I hope this time he has better luck. Looking at Steve Davis and his use of the soft break today I'm dying to see what magic Corey can perform. What a player.

Chris.

If those pairings are correct, then Manalo, Reyes & Bustamante are all in a rather top-heavy same half of the draw, along with Deuel, Van den Berg, Hsia plus last years finalists Kuo and Wu! If this is true, then its Strickland, Archer, Fong-Pang Chao and most of the Europeans in the bottom half...there's bound to be a good value each-way punt amongst the bottom half. Chamat? Peach? Alcaide?
