Daz is being a little modest there, i watched it all and everything went against Daz in that match, it is a miracle he won it.

One good roll in the last rack, but two monster finishes from 8 7 down under pressure. My heart was in my mouth every shot.

Good luck all the boys today, just on my way to the arena now.

Because of pool politics in the Philippines... You can read all about it at the Matchroom Sport forums.

Lefty can you send us a nice quality photo or two?

Hi guys, just got back to my room.

Lost to Mark 9-6.....thats the way it goes in pool, some days you get it and some days you dont.
He plays Immonen next in the easy half lol, then either Wu or Van Boening just to get to the semis.

Darren just started against a Korean guy, seen him play yesterday, he wont cause Darren any problems as long as he stays solid.

Darren held himself together well yesterday when he beat Taiwan player 9-8 from 7-8 down. The guy hacked at a 2ball in the 16th rack and never came back to the table .. a couple of nice tickles in last rack, but held up to the pressure well.

For me its to the stands now, giving our last 2 lads some much needed support.

Crowds are none existant here at this event......real shame, but it shows how much difference it makes when the real big boys of the Philippines are not participating!

Yes, well done guys. Shame we could not have had 3 through but the brits always seem to meet each other early in the single knockout stages.

Looks like a good solid tournament from Daz so far and it's especially good to see Mark in the latter stages of a big international tournament, which will do no harm for his profile leading up to the Msoconi cup.

With both guys in different halves of the draw let's hope we go one better than the 'world champs' with 2 brits going all the way.

On the tournament info page here:
http://www.wpa-tour.com/tournamentinfo.asp
it says that the last 16 should have been a race to 11. Know any good lawyers, Mark?
