So, the final is between Souquet and Alcano - who do you think will win tomorrow? [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2008-04-24 21:56 ]

Very good match but I think Souquet will be gunning for revenge after losing to Alcano in 9-Ball

I REALLY want Souquet to win - that'll be a sign for me that Europe is taking over the pool world! Don't get me wrong - I love the Filipinos too, but it would be great for Europe! Has anyone got the link to the really good rack-by-rack scoring - and what time (UK) does it start please? [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2008-04-25 13:36 ]

Dave I think we're stuck with the WPA's site, unless anyone can find a link to watching Dubai Sports Channel live on t'internet. My understanding is that they are broadcasting the final live, although this information may be completely wrong! As for when it starts - 2:30pm our time, according to the live scoring page on the wpa-tour website. In otherwords, right about now! C'mon Ralf! Just got back from UAE. had a good time there and played some good stuff too. I eventually lost 10-5 to Alcano in last16....he made 2 un-makable shots on 8balls to go 5-0 up....with all me doing was 2 dry breaks! There was nothing in it at all after that, but you cant give a player of Alcano's class a 5-0 start. I was very pleased with my own performances...only missed 1 ball all week, and virtually made no mistakes at all.....just dry breaks, and thats a real no-no when it comes to 8ball, as many other players found out along the way.
Big congrats to Ralf...he played great in the final, and put good presure on Ronnie. Ronnie made 2 mistakes in the final....the only mistakes i saw him mak all week!
...Without a doubt, Alcano and Orcollo were the 2 best players over the whole event, but they were in the same half as Gomez, Kiamco, Van Boening, Ortmann, and myself....a pretty tough half i think! Ralf, in my eyes was always going to make it to the final from the other half, although he saved his best form till the final.
Ralf and myself did a nice photo for the "World 9ball & world 8ball Champions......it looked like me and a mini me! lol.
Well done Ralf!
