Dave Wykes made a thunderously spirited break, balls zipping all over the place, but not a one seriously threatened a pocket, so the full prize fund of £633 rolled over to our second contender,,,

Dave Evans broke the sound barrier with his high-speed train of a break - it seemed like the balls would never stop rolling, and there were near misses aplenty, but the best chance came when the two ball was heading for the corner pocket, and took a fortuitous glancing blow off the four ball to help it in the right direction towards the throat of the pocket, but the tight pockets and deep shelf on the SAM Magno table denied the ball access, so the full prize pot of £633 carried over to our third and final raffle winner... Michael Beeston - AND IT'S A ROLL-OVER!!! Three fantastic breaks today, but Michael also broke dry, despite emulating the Big Bang on a pool table - once again, the corner pocket came into play as a ball came eye-wateringly close to going in, but when all the balls came to a standstill it was clear that it was going to be a massive cash roll-over to next season's GB 9 Ball Tour. This is a reason on its own to enter GB9... Very soon the jackpot on this will be bigger than the tournament prize money! Just remind me Dave, if someone wins the raffle, they can if they choose nominate someone to play on their behalf?

Actually, on this one, the person who buys the ticket must play the game - I know they give the option of nominating a "superstar" player in some places in The States, but we're keeping it simple here. "YOU'VE GOT TO BE IN IT, TO WIN IT!" I'm just hoping the pot gets over the £1K mark for now - then I'll be hoping to take on the tournament prize fund - but this is a pro tour and the whole lot could be won at any moment with the standard of players on GB9... You just need someone to get a lucky start and the jackpot is for the taking. Talking about side events with more prize money than the tournament, did you see this Calcutta yesterday... See that's just the FIRST Calcutta... Amazing!!!! [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2015-11-08 16:36 ]
