There is just 1 week left to enter the GB9 Southern Masters. We are pleased that numbers have improved slightly from the last event but it would be nice to have a few more! Event 4 Details----------------- Andy Warden, GB9 - Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor √

Do players that play in the event as a one off pay on the Friday before their first match Andy? Just asking on behalf of a mate that has registered online.

We're all really excited to have Joe Johnson playing at this event. He is practicing with Chris Melling tomorrow so is taking it very seriously. If you can't get down to the event be sure to watch all the action on the FREE live-stream----------------- Andy Warden, GB9 - Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor √

Congratulations to Daryl Peach for winning the GB9 Southern Masters - a thumping great 11-4 victory over Karl Boyes in the final. In the Challenge Event, Chris Melling and Raj Hundal were the finalists... Although they didn't play the final. Currently, 4 players are battling for Matchroom Sport's World Pool Masters spot. Those four players are, Karl Boyes, Mark Gray, Phil Burford.... ...and... Daryl Peach - who qualified for the final spot on a countback on match percentage of racks won or something like that, narrowly edging Imran Majid out of the qualifier. I hope this helps as I understand the GB9 website is down because the hosting company says there is some unusual drain on the server. [ This message was edited by: Administrator on 2013-08-11 18:18 ]

No, the final was successfully streamed in it's entirety. The cameras have now been packed away, and the World Pool Masters Qualifier Final is underway between Karl Boyes and Daryl Peach - I am recording it with my video camera and I will load it for The Pro Tube later. Daryl is currently 2-0 up. [ This message was edited by: Administrator on 2013-08-12 07:14 ]

Daryl is now 4-0 up, but it looks like Karl is going to claw this one back as he only has a few balls left to clear.

Lee told me the hosting company had said there was something on the site that was overloading the server, so they took it offline.
Same thing happening to Pro9 a while ago and we were offline for three days while the server people tracked it down.

Thanks Dave for the nice words mate. Have to say I am very proud of my achievements this weekend. I knew before I went there that I would have to win the event to get into the world masters play-offs, and even then there was a chance I could still miss out if certain other players advanced more. But I was focussed on my job at hand, and luckily for me, I made the play-offs, where I simply carried on my good form to take that down too!! Have to say unlucky to Karl, as making 2 finals is no mean feat itself, hopefully he has done enough this season to get a spot in the masters anyway! But we will see I guess. Also unlucky to Imran, who I just pipped to the play-off spot....we had a great match in the last 16 with quality pool played by both of us! As always, awesome tourney at GB9, ran like clockwork again, and what a venue, all on all a great weekend for everyone, so well done again Lee, Andy, Phil, and everyone else concerned. It was really good to see a good group of Danish players there along with our Spanish and Italian friends too! I really think that GB9 will take another leap forward next season, it's exciting times ahead for British 9ball pool in more ways than one.......as time will prove! Finally, thanks Dave for your good work as always.....and it's nice to see that Camera still going strong (even after all those pics of me over the years lol) -----------------

Hey Daryl, you and Mark Segal bought me that camera when you were running the Empire Pool Tour, do you remember? I'm grateful every time I take a pic mate - every single photo in The Pro Shop was taken with that camera, as well as the ones I've taken here on Pro9 too... So thanks again! Here's a fun video from Stansted that's just uploaded... www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYjYSWmUASwVideo of the World Pool Masters Qualifier is processing now and will be available later today. ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2013-08-13 08:08 ]
