Whilst you are new to the game your potting is too firm to be challenging Lee without some weight (even though you are probably both level 3, the reality is Lee can't keep up with you).
Game for you is Lee Brett, thats an even match. can you please move this to the joke thread please dave lee needs weight to play gibbo lmfao, ive played them both n its a defo 50/50 game simon, you make my nuts ache ----------------- Mr Dockerty to you boys

lol, doc! Tell you what....I will play Gibbo Thursday race to 21 for a bullseye and depending on that outcome will determine a match with Lee. I know Lee's game very well which will help decide but agreed, I have only played Gibbo twice. No current brain for 9 ball but good potter.

Adam shaw v Dixon would be a cracker for money match tv 5 Adams already a great player but he will be challenging the very best on pro tour next year My money is on Adam as I have been in the receiving end practising with him lately although it's certainly not been all one way [ This message was edited by: tigger147 on 2010-08-24 00:23 ]

Reports on Adam may be slightly over-exagerated. I think he is already a good / very good player but I'm sure he will tell you himself that (like a lot of us) he has a lot to learn. I think Adam Shaw versus Ben Finch or indeed Craig Dixon would be great matches to watch but I'm basing this on seeing the three players on just a couple of occassions. I don't think that people on the forum should be setting the bar too high for Adam because in doing so we could be setting him up for all sorts of problems.

I disagree Adam won the last challenge event and he is the calmest player I've seen in over 25 years of cue sports Reminds me of a certain mr Davis I.e you could not tell if he was winning or losing by looking at him It's all natural If he's not a big success on the pro tour next year I'd be very surprised Dixon is a fighter with talent That's a match id pay too watch

Well we both want what is best for him as a player and so should agree to disagree. If you aim for perfection (in this case the top of the GB9 rankings) straight away, regardless of talent you are probably setting yourself up for failure. It is my opinion that you should aim for excellence (in this case consistent improvement between events and giving your best effort to win every rack that you can) and enjoy the journey. Aiming for perfection is demoralising whilst aiming for excellence is a motivator.
