Okay to stop this getting out of hand il just give my view of what happened, Basically a few of anthonys backers did not turn up to the venue the game i heard was for £1500 which anthony did not have, I told anthony as the min bet for MMTV is £500 if he could raise that the game would be valid and must go ahead, Unfotunatley he could not raise that amount so alex had the right to say he is not playing the game who would want to risk losing there spot for £300, I feel for anthony but he knows the rules of play and he was genuinely upset about this, i also understand alex and his supporters who turned out in droves to watch the match only to be let down at the last minute, There for alex will keep is spot and rightly so all i can say to players who play on MMTV in the future is only make a bet if you can honour it. Yes congratulations to both Dom and Robin, I too had an inkling that they could both win as I have played a few games in the last few years against both of them and knew what they were capable of. Congrats to Chris too on a convincing win, Also well done to Riggers and Andy with such a great set up with the cameras on both tables, information, commentary and on screen graphics, Can't get any more professional than that.

Well just got in from my first MMTV experience and what a great day it was, run so brilliantly and professionally. Couldn't have gone better for me and Dominic to be honest, But what a great guy Jamie Yates is and i have so much respect for him and his fans, yeah they were loud but not once did they shout out when i was down on my shot and when i won they shook my hand and congratulated me so thanks. I'll be sure to have a couple drinks with jamie at gb9 next month. Thanks to The Dog for welcoming us to the club and running such a great event and also to Riggers for running the live stream. Just a quick mention to Dixon and Doc for looking after us in town last night, especially Dominic who was trolleyed [ This message was edited by: rc on 2012-01-29 17:35 ]

Thanks to everyone for their compliments on the stream. It's taken a few events to get everything right but I'm much happier with it now. We do have some restrictions in how sharp a picture we can put out but that is due to the upload speed offered by Andy's ISP (only about 550kbps) so neither me nor Andy have any control over that. Despite that I think the picture quality looks reasonably good having watched some of the videos back. We encountered a new problem on Saturday whereby UStream returned a rather unhelpful error message part way through a recording, which seemed to indicate they had dropped the recording for no apparent reason. There is no help in a google search or on Ustream's support site to troubleshoot this unfortunately and it appears some of the Chris v Jack match and the Robin v Jamie match may be missing. Unfortunately this is down to ustream and I have no way to get these sections back. Ustream give you the option to save the video locally OR to our ustream channel page (not both) so obviously I choose to save it to the channel so it's immediately available to wtach back. Given that we've seen this problem with recording I'll take a different approach next time and save it locally. Hopefully this means we won't see a repeat of that error and lose part of a recording. The downside is that I then have to upload the videos to UStream during the week after the event so you will have to wait a few days before being able to watch them back. One idea I have for next time (which I will be testing) is to have guest commentators join the stream remotely via Skype or Windows Live Messenger. This will allow e.g. friends and family to commentate on the match from home. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2012-01-30 11:07 ]

Cheers guys. Regarding the problem with the recording maybe there was no problem at all. I got a call to say some of the match was missing and assumed that was true because we did see that strange error message but I've now got home and checked and it looks like every match has recorded just fine Am enjoying watching back the bits when I wasn't commentating. Great job from Anthony, Ben, Dominic and Phil. Brilliant guys. And especially to Anthony Banham who helps me out so much during the event. Next event all your beers are on me pal [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2012-01-30 20:05 ]
