Eric I know you are really disappointed and stuff, but Lee does deserve A LOT of credit for how he pulled back from 49-46 down to win. He made some fantastic pots and position was pin perfect with some good safety thrown in for good measure. I didn't see much of the game before the end so don't really know what happened before, but the end impressed me. Craig disappointed me, he just didn't take any time to consider shots properly. Some shots where he had to play safe or get out AND play safe he just seemed to rush. I'm saying this as a fairly neutral opinion. Yes I wanted to see Craig play his best and back up his words but I have no beef with either player.

Well played Lee, I thought Craig was going to take it when he went on the hill but that was a great comeback from Lee to fightback and take the match, Unlucky Craig, dissapointing to lose being on the hill, loved the composed celebration from Lee at the end,

Congratulations to both players and especially Lee for his comeback. In the end he was the more composed player and from what I could tell from the stream he had more will to win than his opponent. Both had a great match under the circumstances though so well done. I wish the sound worked in the stream so we could get a better idea of the atmosphere.

What an amazing match to be involved in. First of all in response to some comments yes we both played some good stuff and some very poor stuff, probably due to the pressure we were feeling. Its easy to say Craig could have battered me if he'd played how he does in practice but you know what? I can say exactly the same thing! At the start I was composed and thinking straight and played perfect, eventually missing a 9 ball which would have given me a well deserved 7-0 lead. Obviously at the end too I found some heart and composed myself under extreme pressure which helped me play near-faultless in the last 6 racks. So that shows that my game is more than a match for his. OK the bit in the middle was poor and their was plenty of tweaking but I gifted Craig loads of racks missing 7s, 8s and 9s so I can easily say I could have won easily. And so can Craig because obviously he missed a lot of easy balls too. I think it's a bit unfair and a one-sided view, therefore, to say Craig lost the match. The truth is either of us could have won and it was close all the way through. I had loads of chances around 35-35 to go 2 racks clear and make a lead but kept making silly mistakes. Then it was Craig's turn to dig deep and also get a few rack-winning rolls (including a fluked 9 ball) as far as I can remember to help him to the hill. But I dug deeper in the end so feel I deserved the win in what was a very close match up. With regards to Craig's play although he missed balls I have to give him huge credit for his all round game. His safety, kicking and shot choice was excellant and I wasn't expecting that if I'm honest. My safety was poor and I wasn't expecting that either With an all round game like that Craig's game can only go onwards and upwards if thats what he wants and I hope the set back of losing this match is soon forgotten and we see a good performance from him at the PMT next weekend. Despite what people may have thought the game was played in a brilliant spirit throughout and I never for one minute expected any different from Craig. He might be a bit gobby on here at times (and he's not on his own there) but he's a very respectful and honest competitor and took the defeat with good grace. Like I said that came as no surprise to me and will come as no surprise to anyone that knows him. From my perspective I can easily forget the c**p I played in the middle of the match because it's the positive that counts and now I have some memories in the locker of that come-back that will live with me forever and that's sure to be a great weapon to have in future games. Finally I just want to say a sincere thankyou to Shoka and Andy in Vegas Bar for hosting the event and all my pals in there that supported me. The amazing atmosphere in this venue helped to make it a very, very memorable day. Thanks also to everyone for their support via text, voice mail and facebook messages before and after the match. It meant a lot. Now for some sleep and some time off the pool table for a few weeks I think

Wow, 694 unique viewers watched that match on uStream. Sorry about the sound problems folks. It was a complete mystery as I've now done a test broadcast at home with the same camera, mic, mixer and laptop and the sound was perfect. Also the occassional losses of broadcast are due to an intermittant router problem in the club whereby it needs resetting to regain the wireless internet. I'm sure we'll get these issues ironed out for the next uStream broadcast, which will be Nav Hussain v Barry French on 9 July I believe. Thanks to everyone for tuning in [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2011-06-13 14:04 ]

I ain't gonna set light to money when I'm a certainty to lose, and I wont get a backer to throw their money away either Baz...not going to bullied into play a far superior player [ This message was edited by: BFrench501 on 2011-06-13 14:29 ]

We have checked the router we had unicom come out yesterday and all is fine so not sure why we had problems i think it was a bad connection which caused the static.

Was just saying that you were all over it before, had arranged to come down to GB9 and play but didnt, only got a game because Mark stepped in last minute. Then you said you couldnt play at Money Matches South because you had your child on the way, which i happily accepted. Then 2 weeks after that event had taken place and you were playing MMTV, for more than we'd originally agreed. If you dont wanna play pal then you just have to say. I do want to play but I'm going to take any 50/50's first before playing games where it's not near close in terms of ability. I want to play, but I have to be able to be competitive with Andy Warden and Nav first. I've already lost to Andy 21-18 for £150.
