Dave Beaumont - BWPPA 2023 GB 10 Ball Champion

BEAUMONT WINS 10 BALL CHAMPIONSHIP & SEALS END OF SEASON TOP SPOT

The BWPPA tour returned to Savannas Pool & Snooker, Whitefield, Manchester, for Event 3 from the 9-10 October 2023.

They were competing for the first prize of £250 from a prize pot of £560, and the title of 2023 Tiger Cues GB 10-Ball Champion.

The early stages through up some good matches, but the top 4 seeds, Defending Champion Dave Beaumont, Fred Dinsmore, Danny Luton and Tony Southern.

Early action saw Southern take a 7/2 win over Gary Swift, and Luton beat Darren Brook 7/1.

In the winner’s qualifiers, Southern lost 2/7 v Beaumont, and Dinsmore whitewashed an under the weather Luton, who conceded the match early.

In the losers’ side later stages, Southern whitewashed Brook 6/0, whilst Luton beat Swift 6/3.

In the semi-finals, Southern had an overdue win over Dinsmore, winning 7/3, and in the other semi-final, Beaumont edged Luton 7/6 in a thriller, Luton will look back on a string of chances to win at 6/4 up.

It was to be a Beaumont v Southern v final, overshadowed by Southern damaging the front castor on his chair, meaning he was unable to push around the table, and had to go backwards, as a result he was never in the game and Beaumont strolled to a 7/1 win, and a 5th title on the bounce.

This meant he can’t be caught at the top of the end of season rankings with an event to go.

A video of the main event final is available to watch here. Facebook Live kept interrupting the stream due to music in the background.

Gary Swift won the challenge event 5-4 v Darren Brook, but Darren can’t be caught at the top of the challenge rankings for 2023.
