American Pool Network Leagues are going national.

The first week in May will see the launch of APN-Leagues, Britain's only National Handicapped Amateur 9-Ball Championships. In it's first year APN-Leagues will payout an estimated �15,000 in cash prizes.

Local level League winners qualify automatically for the National Championship Finals (scheduled for November 2006), where they will be joined by qualifiers from the Regional Championships, a second chance tournament for players who have finished in the top quarter of their local level league.

APN-Leagues offers a social, rewarding and competitive way of enjoying the fastest growing cue sport in the world. Whatever your ability, our unique handicapping system provides for players of all abilities*.

With up to 3 league sessions held a year in each venue, players can play as little or as often as they like, with 3 chances to qualify for the Finals.

APN-Leagues aims to:

Provide the amateur 9 ball player with a variety of quality tournaments and leagues.

Continue to promote the game of 9 ball on a amateur level.

Increase participation and media awareness of 9 ball pool.

Offer product benefits and coaching packages to our members.

Create a referee and instructor programme.

* Any player that has played in the World Pool Championships, International Pool Tour or appears on the BCA Pro-List are currently excluded from playing in APN-Leagues. This is to keep it a strictly amateur system.
