European Champions Join The Association of Billiard Professionals

The ABP is uniting with the world�s greatest players, from the Philippines, USA, and now our newest addition includes some of Europe�s finest. The ABP is harnessing the power of the world�s best for a common goal; to improve our sport so that associations, promoters, sponsors and players alike may work in conjunction.

Having the players as a whole is the only way pool players as a group may get things accomplished. With the support of players worldwide, we can make a difference for the future generations, just like other sports have done.

"As a European member of the ABP board, I believe it's great for our sport that these top European names step up and join our forces. And with new European successes Huidji See and Chris Melling, both two great sportsmen, the timing is even better. Seeing the Americans allying with the Europeans along with the Asians makes me very proud. I see a bright future ahead of us," said Mika Immonen, ABP Board Member.

Ralf Souquet adds, " Of course having the pro players together as a group is a very good thing. There are several concerns and issues that must be addressed around the world, and this is the ideal way to handle them."

Europe�s elite players such as recent World 10ball Champion, Huidje See, China Open winner Chris Melling, and world champions Ralf Souquet, Niels Feijen, Darren Appleton, and Oliver Ortmann have all confirmed their support of the ABP. With the addition of previously confirmed members, this gives the ABP an even more impressive roster of supporters and voice.

Annual membership is $100 to join the ABP. This membership is separated into a fund that will be used to pay all the expenses acquired for creating and maintaining a players association. The ABP is a non-profit group where the ABP�s 11 board members are volunteering their time and effort to help change the sport for the better.
